MACHINE MEN To Enter Studio Next Month

July 27, 2006

Vocalist Antony of the Finnish melodic metal act MACHINE MEN has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"If you have wondered why there is so quiet like in a church — the reason is simple. We have been in a local bar all days watching football and drinking beer. And we have also [written] the songs ready for the next album! We'll start recordings 14th August at Fantom studio in Tampere. In the middle of the sessions we'll hit on the road for two weeks. Please, see the tour dates where we're going to show our athletic bodies! After that we'll get back to finish the album and sitting in a small bar nearby the studio. We will keep you updated with a studio diary and all kind of bullshit."

MACHINE MEN's sophomore album, "Elegies", was released last year via Century Media Records. The CD was recorded by THUNDERSTONE's Nino Laurenne at Sonic Pump Studios (OMNIUM GATHERUM, THUNDERSTONE) and was mastered at the established Finnvox Studios. The album included a cover version of BRUCE DICKINSON's "Freak".
